How to Get Stains Out of Underwear | A Men’s Guide

4 WAYS OF HOW TO REMOVE UNDERWEAR STAINS FOR MEN

It's happened to you, it's happened to me, and it's happened to every famous person on the planet. It doesn't matter how it happens, but what does matter is that it's addressed before someone else sees it.

You may not think that underwear stains are a big deal for men, but flip the script for a second: What would you think if you saw a pair of stained panties on the floor after a night of making the beast with two backs? Exactly.

Luckily for both of us, there are ways to remove underwear stains that are straightforward, easy, and can be done with household items you probably already have lying around.

Rummage through your underwear drawer, find your stained boxers, and let's get to it.

METHOD 1: VINEGAR

This is a good way to remove stains without hand soap, bleach, or salt.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bathroom sink

• Towel

• Sponge

• Small container

• Distilled white vinegar

Instructions

1. Rinse the stained area underneath cold running water in the bathroom sink

2. Lay the towel flat on the counter and then lay the boxers on top of the towel with the underwear stains facing upwards

3. Pour out some vinegar into the small container and moisten the sponge in the vinegar

4. Dab the stained fabric completely with the sponge. Start on the outside of the stain and work your way in

5. Turn the boxers inside out and scrub the other side of the stained fabric

6. Repeat the process as needed

7. Wash the underwear as normal

METHOD 2: BAKING SODA

This stain removal process is best for stubborn urine or sweat stains on any everyday garment or clothes.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bathroom sink

• Towel

• Old toothbrush with soft bristles

• Baking soda

Instructions

1. Rinse the underwear stains in the bathroom sink under cold water

2. Lay the towel flat on the counter and lay the underwear on top of the towel, stains facing up

3. Sprinkle a few shakes of baking soda to cover the stain completely

4. Using the tooth brush with soft bristles, gently rub the baking soda into the stains on the fabric starting on the outside and working your way in

5. Turn the underwear inside out and scrub the other side of the stain

6. Place the boxers in the bathroom sink and give it a good rinsing under cool water to remove all baking soda

7. Repeat the process as needed

8. Wash the underwear on the normal laundry cycle in the washing machine

METHOD 3: SOAKING

Prior to washing boxers or clothes that have hard-to-get-rid-of stain, rinse and soak them using this cleaning method for a more fresh pair of your favorite undies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Gloves

• Bucket or small tub

• Cold water

• Laundry detergent

• Old toothbrush with soft bristles

Instructions

1. Pour cold water (not hot water) into the bucket or tub and add 1/2 cup of laundry detergent

2. Mix the detergent in well with the water

3. Place the boxers into the mixture

4. Put on the gloves, reach into the tub, and gently scrub the underwear stains with the tooth brush

5. Turn the boxers inside out and scrub the other side of the stain

6. Let the underwear soak in the tub for up to 30 minutes

7. Once 30 minutes has passed, remove the underwear, give it a good rinsing, and wash normally

METHOD 4: STAIN REMOVER

This works best with white underwear that can be soaked for up to a few hours depending on the instructions of the brand of stain removal used.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Stain remover

• Gloves

• Bathroom sink

• Towel

Instructions

1. Put on the gloves and rinse the stained area

2. Turn the boxers inside out and rinse the other side of the stain (Cold, not warm water)

3. Lay the towel on the counter and the underwear on top of the towel

4. Follow the instructions of the stain remover liquid to see how long to soak the underwear stains with the cleaner to get rid of the stains
